Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Manager of Quality Control to oversee appraisal review operations within the Appraisal Management division. You will develop quality strategies, manage staff, ensure compliance with USPAP, Dodd-Frank, FHA and other standards, and drive improvements in turn times and accuracy.

This on-site leadership role requires collaboration with Compliance, Operations, and Vendor Management, mentoring teams, updating procedures, and preparing documentation for audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in real estate appraisal quality control, appraisal review, or appraisal operations.
• 2+ years management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with USPAP standards and agency/investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
• Appraisal license or certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control processes aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor daily QC operations to ensure timely, accurate reviews are performed.
• Analyze QC data to identify trends, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Escalate significant QC issues and regulatory risks to senior leadership promptly.
• Lead, mentor, and train the QC team, including onboarding and performance management.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Vendor Management to resolve quality concerns.
