Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Manager of Quality Control to lead the QC operations within the Appraisal Management division. You will develop quality strategies, supervise staff, and ensure appraisal reviews meet regulatory and internal standards.

Responsibilities include implementing QC processes, monitoring performance metrics, collaborating with Compliance, Operations and Vendor Management, and supporting audits. A background in USPAP, Dodd-Frank, FHA/VA guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years in real estate appraisal quality control or related field.
• 2+ years of management experience preferred.
• Experience with USPAP and agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA) required.
• Appraisal license or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control processes aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain clear QC policies and procedures across appraisal review functions.
• Monitor QC operations to ensure timely, accurate reviews.
• Analyze QC data to identify trends, deficiencies, and improvement areas.
• Escalate critical QC issues to senior leadership and support audits.
