Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Manager of Quality Control to oversee appraisal QC operations within the Appraisal Management division, ensuring compliance with USPAP, Dodd-Frank, FHA, and related standards. The role leads staff, improves review processes, and maintains documentation for audits and client engagements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor metrics, and implement improvements to uphold accuracy and client confidence across the appraisal lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in real estate appraisal quality control, appraisal review, or appraisal operations is required.
• 2+ years management experience preferred.
• Prior experience with USPAP standards and agency/investor guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA requirements.
• Appraisal license or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust quality control processes aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor QC operations to ensure timely, accurate reviews.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the QC team.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Vendor Management to resolve quality concerns.
• Prepare documentation for audits and update client engagement letters.
