Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Manager of Quality Control to oversee QC operations within the Appraisal Management division. The role ensures appraisal activities meet internal standards and regulatory requirements, while leading quality strategies and staff development.

The successful candidate will manage processes, collaborate with Compliance and Operations, and drive continuous improvement to maintain client confidence and service quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of related experience in real estate appraisal quality control, appraisal review, or appraisal operations.
• 2+ years management experience preferred.
• Prior experience with USPAP standards and agency/investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA) required.
• Previously held or currently hold an appraisal license or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control processes aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain QC policies and procedures across all appraisal review functions.
• Monitor daily QC operations for timely, accurate reviews.
• Analyze QC data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Escalate compliance risks to senior leadership and report on metrics.
• Lead and mentor the QC team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Vendor Management to resolve quality concerns.
• Recommend and implement continuous process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
