Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Control Manager for heavy civil construction projects, including dam and lock electrical work.

You will lead the implementation and management of Quality Control programs, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and drawings. The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil QC, experience with dam and lock electrical work, and USACE CQCM certification or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field highly desired
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a Quality Control capacity
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required
• Previous USACE experience is a plus
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification
• OSHA 30 preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings
• Verify materials incorporated into the project meet approved submittals and specifications
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation, including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties
