Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager with heavy civil construction experience to support dam and lock electrical work.

The QC Manager will implement and manage QC programs, coordinating inspections and testing to ensure work meets contractual requirements and the firm's standards. The ideal candidate has a BS in Construction Management or Engineering, 5+ years in QC for heavy civil projects, and USACE experience or CQCM certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field desired.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in QC role.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work required.
• USACE experience a plus.
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify materials meet approved submittals and specifications.
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards.
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation, including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings.
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties.
