Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager with heavy civil construction experience to support dam and lock electrical projects. The role focuses on implementing and managing Quality Control programs, coordinating inspections and testing, and ensuring work meets contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree, 5+ years in QC on heavy civil projects, USACE experience or CQCM certification, and OSHA 30 preferred. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a quality control role.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work required.
• USACE experience is a plus.
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify materials meet approved submittals and specifications.
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards.
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings.
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties.
