Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated in the United States is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Manager for a Large Federal Project. You will implement and manage the QC program onsite and oversee QC engineers, testing personnel, and audits to ensure compliance with contract standards.

You will lead a team, coordinate with regulators, ensure EM 385-1-1 and OSHA compliance, review submittals, and maintain documentation throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Minimum 5 years QC experience with degree or 10 years with no degree, incl. QC focus.
• Must have completed the CQM for Contractors course within 90 days if not current.
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA and MSHA safety regs.
• ASQ or ISO certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a QC system to ensure contract compliance.
• Manage all three QC phases (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up).
• Review specs, submittals, testing and documentation.
• Supervise QC Engineers and testing personnel on site.
• Lead meetings to align QC with project execution and safety.
