Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program for a Large Federal Project. This role ensures onsite and offsite operations meet quality standards and contract requirements, coordinating with customers and regulators.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive QC experience, and knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and MSHA; you will supervise QC engineers, perform inspections, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of construction quality control with degree, or 10 years of construction experience with at least 5 years in QC roles for those without a degree.
• Must complete CQM for Contractors course within 90 days of hire if not current.
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations.
• ASQ or ISO certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a QC system to ensure contract compliance.
• Lead QC personnel and ensure English fluency.
• Oversee QC Engineers, testing staff, and inspection personnel.
• Attend Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meetings to align QC with project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sustainability standards (EM 385-1-1, OSHA, MSHA).
• Provide technical support during pre-bid, construction, and post-construction phases.
• Develop and maintain QC certifications and documentation.
