Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the QC program on large multi-phase projects with heavy civil, industrial, or federal scope under USACE/NAVFAC rules. You’ll write the project QC plan, conduct three-phase control meetings, and oversee field inspectors and technicians who report to you.

Expect to review test results, manage NCRs, and coordinate lab testing, certifications, and supplier qualifications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC special inspector or NICET Level III.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency;
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work;
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians;
• assign daily coverage and review their reports;
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
