Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements. You will write the project QC plan, lead three-phase control meetings, and supervise QC inspectors and technicians.

You will review test results, manage NCRs, and coordinate lab testing and material certifications with subcontractors, with travel as needed to project

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
