Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality program on large multi-phase projects, including heavy civil and federal work. You will write the project quality control plan, chair three-phase meetings, and own the data from tests and NCRs.

You will supervise QC inspectors, coordinate with owners, and ensure compliance with USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements across subcontractors and field teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
