Job summary

Star Storage is expanding its Product Management and Engineering team and seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a strong work ethic and a passion for software testing. You will test an enterprise product, review requirements, and update the test strategy while designing and executing test cases.

You will report defects and participate in L3 customer support as needed. The role requires 5+ years in QA, hands-on API testing with Postman/SOAPUI, solid SQL knowledge, and familiarity with Java app

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience as software QA engineer.
• Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Hands on experience with command line tools, Windows shell scripts, installing and troubleshooting Java enterprise application (use of at least one known application servers as Tomcat, GlassFish, JBoss or WildFly);
• Knowledge about network technologies and systems (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, basic network settings and troubleshooting commands);
• Good knowledge of ANSI SQL and hands on experience with at least one of the following database servers: MS SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL;
• Experience in API testing (hands on experience with Postman & SOAPUI or other testing tools);
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
• Team player and mentor to junior members;
• Advanced written English level.

Responsibilities

• Testing of one of Star Storage enterprise products;
• Participating in Product creation and development at all stages of their life cycle;
• Review software requirements and suggest improvements;
• Update the product test strategy. Analyze, design and execute test cases and test scripts;
• Report and monitor issues, maintaining defects database in a timely, accurate and effective QA process;
• Participate in customer technical support processes, as L3 support.
