Job summary

Yahoo Sports seeks a senior Quality Engineer to architect scalable test automation across Web, mobile, and API layers, leveraging AI-driven pipelines to auto-generate tests and accelerate delivery.

You will build diagnostics using Datadog/CloudWatch/Splunk, integrate tests into CI/CD, and mentor other engineers while collaborating with product teams to improve quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of Quality Engineering or SDET experience with architectural leadership.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development and testing tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks across Web, mobile, API, and cloud services.
• Develop AI-driven test automation pipelines and auto-generate test cases.
• Build AI-powered diagnostics to analyze failures and detect flaky tests.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish deterministic quality gates.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, and Product Managers early in SDLC.
• Drive AI-assisted defect triage and observability automation.
• Establish quality engineering standards and mentor others.
