Job summary

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Principal Software Engineer to support a long‑term DIA‑NDOC DOMEX Technology Platform contract. You will design, develop, and operate Python microservices in Kubernetes, interfacing with Kafka and Elasticsearch, in a cloud‑enabled, data‑centric environment.

Collaborate across Systems, Software, and Operations Engineering; contribute to CI/CD, testing, and observability; on‑site in Bethesda, MD with some remote tasks depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience or Master’s with 10+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python microservices.
• Implement Kafka message consumers and producers.
• Integrate with Elasticsearch for real-time indexing.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy in Kubernetes.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Monitor production issues with observability tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document architectures.
