Job summary

Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Software Engineer to develop Python microservices for a DIA-DOMEX platform in Bethesda, MD. Remote flexibility exists as client requirements allow.

You will design, build, test, and deploy scalable services interfacing with Kafka and Elasticsearch in a Kubernetes environment, contributing to a data-centric cloud/AI/ML solution for national security programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s Degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask).
• Experience with containerization, especially Docker.
• Experience in ETL and RESTful APIs; microservice architecture.
• Hands-on Kubernetes: deploying, monitoring, debugging services.
• Familiarity with Git and DevOps (CI/CD with GitLab/Jenkins).
• AGILE practices and strong communication; team player and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python microservices.
• Implement Kafka message producers and consumers.
• Integrate with Elasticsearch for indexing and querying.
• Write unit and integration tests with high coverage.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy in Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in design reviews and architecture planning.
• Monitor production issues with observability tools.
• Document systems and share knowledge within the team.
• Follow engineering best practices and quality standards.
• Collaborate to deliver high-quality services to customers.
