Mimica is hiring Senior+ engineers to lead backend development for ML-driven products. You will own Python services interfacing with ML models, build scalable components, and drive infra improvements.

Join one of several teams and help shape architecture, practices, and culture in a fully remote role. You will collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers, implement GenAI integrations, and contribute to production-readiness, testing, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as Software Engineer with senior responsibilities.
• Strong Python and backend engineering expertise.
• Proven experience with async/concurrent programming.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end from spec to monitoring.
• Experience in building maintainable tests and CI.
• Familiarity with observability and tracing tools.
• Knowledge of performance and memory optimization best practices.
• Experience mentoring teammates in software practices.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Write Python apps resilient and well-integrated in service architecture.
• Mentor others to write intuitive, testable code and improve DevEx.
• Develop observability for ML apps and GenAI/LLM integrations using Grafana Stack.
• Build integrations with Google Services and internal systems.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers through productionising.
• Respond to incidents affecting ML apps, triage CPU/memory/GPU issues.
• Document procedures to enable knowledge sharing and pairing.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members.
