Job summary

Mimica is hiring Senior+ engineers to lead backend systems interfacing with ML models. Join a scale-up building AI-powered task mining across data pipelines and production ML work. You will shape architecture, drive DevEx, and own end-to-end delivery while mentoring teammates.

This fully remote role supports teams across the Americas, Europe, and UK, with a focus on scalable infrastructure, observability, and fast iteration in a growth-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Software Engineer experience at Lead/Staff/Principal level.
• Strong Python and backend engineering skills.
• Experience with asynchronous/concurrent programming.
• Experience owning end-to-end projects: design, develop, test, deploy, monitor.
• Experience building maintainable tests and observability.

Responsibilities

• Write Python apps and core ML-system components in a service-oriented architecture.
• Mentor teammates to improve code quality and testing practices.
• Develop observability for ML apps and GenAI/LLM integrations using Grafana Stack.
• Build integrations with Google Services and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers across production lifecycle.
• Triage incidents and optimize CPU, memory, and GPU usage for ML apps.
• Document procedures to enable knowledge sharing and pairing.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding new engineers.
