Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management team.

You will design and build scalable software using Java or Python, contribute to AI-powered capabilities, and collaborate with architects, data scientists, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient solutions. Qualifications

• Hands-on design, development, testing and operational stability in real systems.
• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proficient in Java or Python languages.
• Experience in large corporate environments using modern languages and DB querying.
• Demonstrated experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with team alignment.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, security, and compliant adoption.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile practices (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
• Familiarity with cloud, AI/ML, and related tech domains.

Responsibilities

• Participates in design and development of scalable, resilient systems using Java or Python.
• Executes software solutions, architecture, and debugging.
• Writes secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms across systems.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations, with standardized validation.
• Applies SDLC tooling and AI-assisted development to improve automation and value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts while ensuring constraints are met by code.
• Generates analytics and visualizations from large data sets to support continuous improvement.
• Identifies data patterns to drive improvements in code hygiene and system design.
• Contributes to communities of practice and fosters inclusive team culture.
• Grows team capabilities and collaboration within IAM and broader org.
