Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Applied AI/ML Software Engineering team in Jersey City. You will design and deliver trusted, secure, and scalable tech products as part of an agile team, driving architecture, coding, reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop in Python on AWS, integrate AIML into complex workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement through data-driven insights, code reviews, and best-practice adherence.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proven hands-on experience in Python application development.
• Understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with MLOps and enterprise AI tooling.
• Experience in large corporate environments with modern languages and database querying.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs for correctness and security.
• Knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, secure applications using Python and AWS.
