Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot advanced software solutions in a corporate environment. The role emphasizes secure production code, AI-assisted development, and robust data-driven insights across large data sets.

You will work with Python and Django, build REST APIs, and apply cloud experience (AWS). The position focuses on SDLC practices, security, and enterprise tooling to deliver scalable, resilient software solutions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience coding in Python and Django with database querying languages.
• Experience building REST APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Cloud Foundry)
• Hands‑on experience using enterprise-authored AI-assisted software development tools with evaluation of outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, and resiliency/security expectations.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Leveraging enterprise-authored AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation and value realization.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met by code.
• Gathers and analyzes data to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous improvement of software.
• Identifies hidden data problems and uses insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Prototype and iterate on automation and integration using AI-assisted workflows to shorten delivery timelines.
• Implement and support AuthE-based login for internal web reporting apps (human interactive authentication).
• Configure and troubleshoot AuthE authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SAML) used by the application.
• Support access and entitlement management workflows for external reporting.
