Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Electronic CAD Designer to create moderate to highly complex PWB layouts from schematic inputs. You will help develop designs for new or modified high-density PWBs, interfacing with electrical engineers and other technologists.

The role requires deep experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and Expedition, knowledge of AutoCAD (2D) and CAM350, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree or certificate from a two-year technical school in electronics or related field.
• Formal electronics education is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in PWB design or technical drafting with tool knowledge.
• Knowledge of IPC-7351, JEDEC-JP95, MIL-STD-1835.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineers with PWB design and layout from schematics and documentation.
• Work on moderate to highly complex PWB designs and related documentation.
• Interface with DFM engineers to ensure manufacturability of designs.
• Communicate project status to management and team members.
• Follow processes, adapt to new instructions, and work with senior staff on projects.
