Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. in San Francisco, CA seeks a Sr. Technical Analyst to serve as the deep-domain authority for PV modules and racking on the AVL.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure module readiness and third-party racking coverage, with travel up to 25% and onsite work in SF. The role emphasizes technical evaluation, regulatory compliance, and data governance for the AVL, including oversight of tool libraries and master equipment data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, structural, or civil engineering, or related field; 8+ years of professional experience including 5+ years in solar.
• Breadth across residential PV modules and roof-mount racking vendor landscape; fluent in competitive positioning and failure modes.
• Hands-on experience with multiple PV/storage modeling platforms (Aurora Solar, Solargraf, Solo, OpenSolar, PVsyst, SAM, HelioScope).

Responsibilities

• Own technical evaluation, OEM qualification, onboarding, and AVL technical refresh for modules and racking; lead technical scoring on RFPs.
• Audit AVL records and design tool libraries; map schema into Salesforce Master Equipment.
• Define authoritative technical parameters for modules and racking; maintain compatibility matrices.
• Run pre-launch AVL readiness reviews for the module portfolio and variants; coordinate milestones with module organization.
• Attend pilot installations, support O&M escalations and RMAs; deliver technical training.
• Author and maintain AVL requirements documents; curate AVL Hub knowledge base and artifacts.
