Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services for the power industry. We are seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects.

This role allows full remote work or hybrid setup with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, with location details discussed in the interview process. You will lead data analysis, reporting, commissioning support, and collaboration with field teams and vendors to optimize PV plant performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline
• 4+ years’ PV Performance Engineering or data analytics experience
• Experience with PV modeling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM)
• Proficiency with MS Office tools; programming experience in Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java preferred

Responsibilities

• Emphasize safety as the top priority and ensure adherence to safe practices
• Collaborate with teams to collect data, run reports, tests, and analyses
• Onboard active projects into SOLV Energy Performance Team platforms
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting
• Lead junior engineers and manage day-to-day operational activities of projects
• Maintain understanding of site design, equipment, and current issues
• Analyze energy losses and model PV system performance for reporting
