Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee daily operations of active solar and storage projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR. The position emphasizes data analytics, fleet optimization, and collaboration across engineering teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating performance reports, onboarding projects, troubleshooting, and modeling energy losses. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ Years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering or data analytics.
• Experience in modeling using software like PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM, and so on.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, and others preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect and consolidate data for reports and analyses.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s internal Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance from outages/underperformance.
