Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. You will lead data collection, reporting, and optimization efforts, collaborate across teams, model PV systems with PVsyst, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of PV performance engineering or data analytics experience.
• Experience with PV modeling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with programming languages (Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java).
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Strong understanding of Renewable Energy service/construction.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety on all projects.
• Collect and consolidate data to complete reports and tests.
• Onboard active projects into internal performance platforms.
• Track critical issues and optimize fleet across teams.
• Analyze energy losses and report performance impacts.
• Create and maintain PV system energy models using PVsyst.
• Review turnover docs and identify root causes of failures.
• Mentor and oversee Performance Engineers I/II.
