Job summary
SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee day-to-day operational activities of active solar, storage, and substation projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.
You will collaborate with internal teams to collect data, onboard projects, analyze performance, and deliver reports while driving fleet optimization and maintaining safety and quality across projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline.
- 4+ years’ PV Performance Engineering or data analytics experience.
- Experience with PV modeling tools (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM).
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare reports and tests.
- On-board active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
- Track issues and coordinate with engineers to optimize fleet performance.
- Analyze energy losses and report impacts to internal/external teams.
- Lead and mentor Performance Engineers I & II.
- Update reports such as Commissioning Plans and Test Reports.
