Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp. seeks a Manager of Technical Pre‑Sales Support – PV Module to bridge the commercial team and utility‑scale customers. You will translate complex requirements into technically viable, commercially optimized PV module solutions for EPC and equipment opportunities.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Estimating, and Procurement to ensure proposals are technically sound and aligned with strategic goals. This hybrid role is based in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in renewable energy, with 3+ years in PV module tech or technical sales.
• Strong understanding of PV module tech, encapsulation, certifications and integration in large solar farms.
• Experience with MSA reviews, including Force Majeure and sampling rates.
• Knowledge of PV module tests (hail) and qualification programs.
• Familiarity with PQP reports, reliability tests, and third‑party audits.
• Ability to provide field claim support and coordinate issue resolution.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEEE/UL/NFPA codes relevant to solar and BESS.
• Experience with PV design tools (Helioscope, PVSyst, AutoCAD).
• Ability to interpret customer specs and interconnection requirements for designs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative cross‑functional work.
• Bachelor’s in engineering; Master’s a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME for utility‑scale PV module opportunities.
• Develop technical proposals, layouts, and single‑line diagrams.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs with focus on performance, warranties, and specs.
• Build PV performance models and energy yield analyses for sites.
• Input on customer needs to align technical solutions with projects.
• Present technical capabilities and roadmaps to customers.
• Monitor industry standards and regulations impacting designs.
• Handover PV module technical information to project execution teams.
