Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Data & AI Technical Architect for its Global Public Sector team. You’ll serve as a senior field specialist across defense, federal, state, local, higher education, and nonprofit customers, evaluating and expanding the use of Salesforce Data 360, Agentforce, and related data/AI ecosystem.

You will work at the intersection of architecture, solution engineering, data/AI applications, and delivery, ensuring secure, scalable implementations in government environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in technical and enterprise architecture roles within complex environments; defense/public sector preferred.
• Track record of shaping technical strategy with customers/stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data, AI, integration, governance, security, and platform architecture; familiarity with public sector compliance frames (FedRAMP, StateRAMP, CJIS, NIST).
• Experience working across Sales, Product, Engineering, Support, and delivery teams to move solutions forward.
• Ability to distill complex ideas to executive audiences, including government and institutional stakeholders.
• Curiosity and rapid learning in AI, data, automation, and agentic systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent; graduate study a plus.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Share a clear point of view on enterprise data and AI for public sector missions and the Salesforce platform value.
• Deeply understand Data 360, Agentforce, and related products to articulate value to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and solution teams to uncover customer problems and test feasibility, security posture, and cost-to-serve.
• Lead architectural discussions around Data 360, Agentforce, data structures, AI readiness, governance, integration, and compliance.
• Build confidence with demos, prototypes, proofs of concepts, and reference architectures.
• Continuously refine judgment on what to build in public sector data and AI space.
• Turn field learnings into reusable assets, enablement, and product feedback.
