WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Protection Engineer, Senior Professional Electrical Engineer with a Protective Relaying emphasis, for our Orlando, FL office. Remote options may be considered; travel to project sites could be required.

You will be involved in protection design, studies for substations, transmission, and distribution, and work within the ESSP team to meet client objectives and solve challenges.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
• 5–7 years of post-education experience in Protective Relaying for power systems.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Proven safety record and adherence to company policies.

Responsabilidades

• Design, engineer and study protection systems for bulk power equipment.
• Lead client projects to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Support data collection during onsite visits and client discussions.
• Apply IEEE/ANSI/NERC standards to design work.
• Coordinate with SCADA and protection software/hardware teams.
