Job summary

Siemens is looking for a Senior Protection & Automation Application Engineer to develop and validate customer-focused solutions in the Protection & Automation portfolio. You will be a technical resource for new technologies, defining priorities, and translating customer requirements into practical, scalable solutions deployable by the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field.
Five or more years of directly related experience in protection, automation, SCADA, RTU, power systems, or related applications.
Strong knowledge in SIPROTEC protection and SICAM platforms; experience with IEC 61850 and related communications.
Ability to translate customer requirements into practical system architectures and deliverables.

Responsibilities

Develop, configure, test, document, and demonstrate applications using Siemens protection, automation, monitoring, control, and digitalization technologies.
Perform system integration, technical validation, and proof-of-concept work; create engineering standards and reusable templates.
Support initiatives in automation platforms, protection systems, microgrids, digital substations, and cloud-connected applications.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and other partners to align portfolio capabilities with customer needs.
