Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Protection & Automation Application Engineer for the CSI team in Wendell, NC. The role focuses on developing and validating customer-focused solutions that integrate Siemens protection, automation, monitoring, control, and digitalization technologies.

You will work on system integration, technical validation, PoC development, and reference architectures while collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to translate customer needs

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field.
Five (5) or more years of directly related experience in protection, automation, SCADA, RTU, power systems, or related applications.
Strong knowledge of SIPROTEC 5/ SIPROTEC V, IEC 61850, protection schemes, and related platforms.
Experience with Energy Management Applications and cloud-connected applications.
Experience developing, configuring, testing, or supporting protection and automation systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, configure, test, document, and demonstrate applications using Siemens protection, automation, monitoring, and digitalization technologies.
Perform system integration, technical validation, PoC development, lab testing, and customer demonstrations.
Bridge portfolio capabilities with practical customer applications across engineering, product management, sales, and partners.
