Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to own propulsion test infrastructure across solid rocket motor programs. You will lead design, integration, and build of test stands, fluid systems, GSE, and data acquisition, working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, safe testing at remote sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of propulsion testing or hazardous hardware development experience.
• Experience designing, integrating, or operating test stands and GSE.
• Proficiency with PLC-based automation, NI DAQ, and CAD software.
• Ability to obtain explosive permits and a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, integration, build and lifecycle support of propulsion test infrastructure.
• Lead static fire campaigns, ensure safety, and deliver decision-ready data.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians and operations to enable rapid testing.
• Maintain test range safety analyses and risk assessments.
