Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Staff Ground Support Engineer in Colorado to own propulsion test infrastructure architecture, integration, and lifecycle. You will set standards for fluid systems, GSE, and controls, and lead safety-critical design decisions across mechanical, electrical, and controls domains.

Collaborate with test technicians, propulsion engineers, EHS, and operations to ensure safe, repeatable campaigns, while driving robustness and data quality across assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in propulsion testing or high-consequence hardware environments with leadership experience.
• Experience designing, integrating, or operating complex test infrastructure.
• Proficiency with PLC-based controls and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of hazardous systems domains (energetic materials, high-pressure gas).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and lifecycle for propulsion test infrastructure.
• Lead design and integration of fluid systems and GSE across domains.
• Develop industrial electrical and controls architecture for test facilities.
• Own instrumentation and data acquisition architecture and data quality pipelines.
• Serve as technical authority for static fire campaigns and test readiness.
