Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Senior Test Engineer for solid missile systems to own design, integration, build, and lifecycle support of propulsion test infrastructure. You will work at rocket test sites and remote field locations, building and troubleshooting test stands, gas systems, GSE, and data acquisition components to deliver safe, repeatable tests.

You'll collaborate with test technicians, propulsion engineers, and operations teams to run development and qualification campaigns, resolving issues in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
• 4+ years of experience in propulsion testing, aerospace systems, manufacturing, energy systems, heavy industry, or other hazardous hardware development environments.

Responsibilities

• Own test range safety analysis for SRM testing, including overpressure, fragmentation, and environmental hazards and exclusion zones.
• Own test risk assessments, ensuring hazards are clearly identified, mitigated, and communicated.
