General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Propulsion R&D Engineer (SME) to lead advanced research and development for Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) technologies. This senior engineer provides technical leadership across SRM programs and interfaces with IPT and customers.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 12-15 years' engineering experience.
• Engineering degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Conducts research, design, and development to create new or improved products.
• Collaborates with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Uses CAD/CAE to model designs and produce detailed drawings.
• Performs market research, tracks projects, and prepares presentations.
• Communicates findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develops technical documentation for projects.
• Guides transition of technologies from development to production.
