Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Propulsion R&D Engineer (SME) to lead advanced research and development for Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) technologies. You will drive feasibility studies, design, development, and testing, serving as the primary technical interface for IPTs and customers.

This role can be remote or located at Huntsville, AL, Niceville, FL, or Hampton, AR facilities. We expect a seasoned engineer with 12–15 years of related experience and an engineering

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12–15 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with propulsion or SRM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research, design, and development activities for propulsion and SRM technologies.
• Collaborates with internal teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and testability.
• Produces technical documentation and presents findings to IPT and customers.
