Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks a Propulsion R&D Engineer (SME) to lead advanced SRM research, design, development, and testing. You will guide technology from development into production, interfacing with IPT and customers.

This role supports remote work or placement at Huntsville, AL, Niceville, FL, or Hampton, AR facilities, with up to 25% travel and a strong emphasis on technical leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree and 12–15 years of engineering experience.
• Engineering discipline, strong technical skills in propulsion and SRM tech.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research, design, and development of new or improved propulsion products and processes.
• Leads CAD/CAE modeling and produces detailed engineering drawings for SRM systems.
• Collaborates with manufacturing and IPT to optimize designs for producibility and transition to production.
