Job summary

Northbound Executive Search in New York is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the development of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and prequalification documents. You will coordinate multiple proposals, manage deadlines, align with senior leadership and technical teams, and drive process improvements, including AI-enabled tooling.

Proficiency with InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Photoshop is required, as is a background in professional services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience writing and designing proposals, presentations, and qualifications materials, ideally within professional services.
• Experience leading or managing a proposal, marketing, or pursuit team while remaining hands-on with production.
• Strong writing, editing, design, and presentation development skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Experience working with senior leadership and technical teams to develop high-quality proposal materials.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and proposal-related tools (InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop).

Responsibilities

• Write and design proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and prequalification documents.
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, including urgent requests with tight deadlines.
• Coordinate project details, team information, resumes, and relevant materials in advance of proposal deadlines.
• Assign work across internal team members and external resources, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Work with senior leadership and technical teams to gather information and develop compelling proposal materials.
• Review and improve proposal processes, team structure, and tools, including the use of AI and other technologies.
• Lead an initiative to update and maintain project sheets, resumes, and company marketing materials.
• Establish quality standards and review all deliverables before submission.
• Identify workflow challenges, communicate issues to senior leadership, and implement solutions.
