Job summary

Mott MacDonald in New York is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead complex submissions and presentations for North American clients. You will drive capture planning, coordinate SMEs, and craft compliant, compelling responses to RFPs and RFQs.

You will mentor teams, storyboard proposals, and ensure strong messaging, win themes, and differentiators are reflected across resumes and project descriptions. This role embraces a hybrid in-office style with collaboration at the core.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience developing strategic submissions in the AEC industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or related field.
• Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills, including editing and proofreading abilities.
• Strong ability to manage and motivate others, stimulating creativity.
• Effective communication with technical staff and management, fostering collaborative relationships.
• Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture planning activities ahead of solicitation releases.
• Develop and lead creative, targeted proposals across practices.
• Collaborate with PMs and SMEs to execute capture plans and win strategies.
• Coordinate with technical staff to develop strategic responses to requirements.
• Highlight strengths and differentiators throughout the proposal and presentations.
• Prepare RFI responses with teaming partners for proposal needs.
• Customize all proposal sections, including resumes and project descriptions.
• Lead proposal meetings, reviews, and related activities.
• Review drafts for responsiveness, compliance, and quality.
• Support pursuits and strategic pursuit processes.
• Storyboard content plans and drive graphics/layout in line with brand.
