SOCOTEC in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to join the national proposals team. This full‑time role requires four days in‑office per week with one day remote, supporting building envelope, energy efficiency, sustainability and life-safety practices.

You will develop proposals for public‑sector clients, coordinate responses, and work with service line leaders to ensure accurate, compliant submissions.

Competenze

• 3 to 5 years of experience in proposal writing, estimating, and qualifications preparation.
• Knowledge of New York municipalities, state agencies, and public-sector procurement.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while juggling multiple proposals.
• In-office collaboration with technical leaders across multiple disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
• Deltek Vantagepoint experience is desirable.

Mansioni

• Participate in daily team scrum to review proposal priorities and progress.
• Review qualification and proposal requests, assess requirements, and identify input from service lines.
• Develop technical proposals and qualifications packages for public-sector procurement.
• Conduct research and attend meetings with service line leaders to reflect SOCOTEC’s strengths.
• Maintain familiarity with regional procurement practices to improve responsiveness.
• Review proposals and estimates with technical leaders and update as needed.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to produce complete packages.
• Provide quality control review of proposals prepared by others.
• Liaise with local clients to obtain clarifications and confirmations on receipt.
• Enter and maintain client and project data in our CRM (Deltek).
• Coordinate with Proposal Team Manager to refine templates, narratives, and graphics.
