Harvard University is seeking an experienced pre-award professional to manage high-complexity proposals across faculty portfolios. This role liaises with the Office for Sponsored Programs, central units, and faculty to ensure compliant budgets, subaward terms, and timely submissions.

The position emphasizes strategic guidance, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvements across Harvard’s research administration landscape, with a hybrid onsite/remote work arrangement and a focus on policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of sponsored research regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance for proposal development and long-range planning.
• Lead development of complex, multi-PI, multi-site proposals with budgets and subawards.
• Interpret funding announcements and sponsor policies; translate requirements into workflows.
• Serve as senior liaison to OSP and central units; resolve policy and risk issues.
• Oversee proposal data integrity and workflow in research systems; design process improvements.
• Direct and prioritize Just-in-Time (JIT) requests for complex, high-risk proposals.
• Oversee end-to-end JIT workflow and establish standards and checklists.
