Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to lead the strategy and execution of bid solicitations that help win new business and retain existing clients. This role manages end-to-end processes for complex, high-value RFPs with collaboration across Sales, Product, and SMEs to ensure compliant, compelling responses.

The candidate will craft winning content, executive summaries and cover letters, develop win themes, and train team members on best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related work experience.
• Seven years of recent proposal writing for highly complex, high-dollar revenue deals.
• Experience working collaboratively within a cross-departmental team and all levels of an organization.
• Ability to synthesize client needs/pain points with Truist solutions and define strategy.
• Advanced skills in storytelling and creating strategic narratives with compelling written and visual content.
• Mastery of the English language, grammar, punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution of bid solicitations to win new business and retain existing clients.
• Oversee end-to-end management of complex, high-value RFPs with SME input and content management.
• Develop win themes, executive summaries and tailored cover letters.
• Coordinate with sales, product and other SMEs to ensure compliance and timely submissions.
• Train new hires and partners, act as SME within the team.
