Job summary

Syneos Health in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Proposal Analyst to support CRO/pharmaceutical proposal development. You will receive and analyze RFPs, assemble SMEs, and craft competitive budgets and narratives in collaboration with proposal management.

You will ensure alignment with client specifications, obtain quotes, track stages, and help prepare client-ready documents. A BA/BS and 1+ year RFP experience are preferred; strong MS Office skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative work

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in business or health-related field or equivalent; minimal experience in proposal prep in CRO/pharma.
Minimum of one year of experience in proposal preparation in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of the clinical development process from previous work history in clinical research or drug development.
Good analytical, negotiation and organizational skills with ability to multitask and work independently to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Receives and analyzes RFPs from BD, ensuring SMEs are assigned and notified.
Prepares proposal text, budgets, and cover letters in response to RFPs and rebids with guidance from proposal staff.
Ensures proposal text and budgets align with RFP, client specs and internal assumptions.
Obtains third party quotes as needed.
Manages the proposals process and stage gates from RFP receipt to delivery with limited supervision.
Coordinates with contracts, finance and operations to initiate projects (PlanActivation).
Updates proposals and sales tools regarding status and value.
Coordinates and participates in project hand-over meetings.
Learns to present budgets in client-specific formats.
May provide guidance on process guidelines to internal stakeholders.
