Job summary

Syneos Health in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Proposal Analyst to support CRO/pharmaceutical proposal development. You will receive and analyze RFPs, assemble SMEs, and craft competitive budgets and narratives in collaboration with proposal management.

You will ensure alignment with client specifications, obtain quotes, track stages, and help prepare client-ready documents. A BA/BS and 1+ year RFP experience are preferred; strong MS Office skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative work

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business or health-related field or equivalent; minimal experience in proposal prep in CRO/pharma.
• Minimum of one year of experience in proposal preparation in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of the clinical development process from previous work history in clinical research or drug development.
• Good analytical, negotiation and organizational skills with ability to multitask and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares proposal text, budgets, and cover letters in response to RFPs and rebids with guidance from proposal staff.
• Ensures proposal text and budgets align with RFP, client specs and internal assumptions.
• Obtains third party quotes as needed.
• Manages the proposals process and stage gates from RFP receipt to delivery with limited supervision.
• Coordinates with contracts, finance and operations to initiate projects (PlanActivation).
• Updates proposals and sales tools regarding status and value.
• Coordinates and participates in project hand-over meetings.
• Learns to present budgets in client-specific formats.
• May provide guidance on process guidelines to internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Receives and analyzes Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from Business Development (BD), ensuring appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) are assigned to and notified of the RFP.
• Prepares and modifies proposal text, budgets, and cover letters responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) and rebids based on feedback received from SMEs, with assistance from proposal management staff when needed.
• Ensures proposal text and budgets are in agreement with RFP, client specifications and communications, and internal assumptions.
• Obtains third party quotes as needed.
• Manages the proposals process and stage gates from RFP receipt to proposal delivery with limited support from line manager. Works with a mentor or manager to identify and develop mitigation skills and strategies in appropriate situations.
• Works with contracts, finance, and operations to facilitate project initiation as part of PlanActivation™.
• Updates proposals and/or sales management tools, systems and/or forms regarding proposal or rebid status and value as directed.
• Coordinates and participates in project hand-over meetings.
• Learns to present budgets in client-specific/requested formats.
• May provide functional guidance and application of process guidelines to internal constituents as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent in a business or health related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; plus minimal experience / exposure working in proposal preparation in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of one year of experience in proposal preparation in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
• Knowledge of the clinical development process as illustrated by previous work history in clinical research or other drug development experience
• Good analytical, negotiation and organizational skills with ability to perform several tasks simultaneously and the ability to work independently and flexibly to meet deadlines.
• Above-average attention to detail, effective oral/written communication skills along with highly developed interpersonal and strong team orientated skills.

Salary Range: $56,400.00 - $95,900.00 The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications,
