Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Senior Proposal Specialist to manage client-generated RFQs, develop compelling responses, and coordinate submission documents. You will work closely with Business Development and Marketing to ensure timely proposals and high-quality collateral.

This is not a remote role and requires strong writing, editing, and project-management skills. The ideal candidate has a four-year degree and 5+ years of writing, editing, and researching experience in the AEC industry,

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or applicable discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in writing, editing and researching to prepare, print, and submit online technical documentation, including preparation of proposals.
• Must have experience in the AEC industry.
• Strong ability to write, edit and proofread content.

Responsibilities

• Manage client-generated RFQ, company-developed responses and final submission documentation within file structure.
• Partners with Business Teams and internal colleagues to ensure all milestones and timelines are met, including review and sign off of all final prequalification and proposal packages.
• Maintains database for all business development collateral documentation; monitors trade publications and other media for opportunities; compiles project data for press releases and case studies.
• Partners with Marketing to develop and implement tools and procedures to publish and maintain future project documentation according to company standards.
