Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead all aspects of proposal development, coordinating Volume Leads, writers, and consultants to produce high-quality, winning proposals, and to collaborate with the Capture Manager, Business Development Executive, and Lead Solution Architect.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven leadership, the ability to manage multiple tasks, mentor staff, work with limited direction, and adapt to schedules that may include evenings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10+ years’ relevant experience as Proposal Manager.
• 6+ years of successful track record winning proposals valued at $200M or more.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.
• Proven proposal leadership skills and ability to assemble a strong team and allocate resources.
• Experience keeping teams focused on compliant, compelling, winning documents.
• Experience mentoring staff and supporting proposals from junior to senior levels.
• Ability to work with little direction and manage multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
• US Citizenship

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of proposal development from RFP to delivery.
• Identify and secure resources required for the proposal.
• Analyze solicitations and determine final document structure.
• Prepare detailed proposal plans, schedules, and compliance matrices.
• Coordinate and lead major project meetings and content development.
• Develop and manage a proposal schedule and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide guidance to writers and subcontractors and ensure compliance.
• Ensure adherence to style guides and submission requirements.
• Monitor amendments and modifications to the solicitation.
