Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead all aspects of proposal development, coordinating writers, staff, and consultants to produce high-quality, winning proposals.

This role partners with the Capture Manager, Business Development Executive, and Lead Solution Architect to articulate technical and management solutions for proposals, whitepapers, and presentations, with familiarity in AI content tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 12+ years’ relevant professional experience as Proposal Manager.
• 6+ years of successful track record winning proposal efforts valued at $200M or more.
• Proficiency MS Office business applications to include SharePoint.
• Must have proven proposal leadership skills, with the ability to build a strong team, effectively resolve conflict, and vector appropriate resources to maximize proposal development.
• Must have experience in mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and (proposal inexperienced) senior operations staff who are writing proposals for the first time.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of proposal development from receipt of RFP through delivery and receipt by the customer.
• Identify and secure resources necessary to develop the proposal.
• Analyze solicitations and determine final document structure.
• Prepare detailed proposal plans, schedule outlines and compliance matrices.
• Coordinate and lead major project meetings and content development.
• Develop and manage a proposal schedule and ensure delivery deadlines.
• Provide guidance to proposal writers and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with all instructions and guidelines.
• Monitor amendments and maintain momentum on proposals.
