Job summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Professional Editing Specialist to produce clear, polished proposals and technical documents. You will support Business Development and proposal teams through expert editing, formatting, and reliable production of complex submissions for government and commercial clients.

You will collaborate with Capture Specialists, technical authors, and graphics to build templates, refine content, and ensure editorial quality across volumes while adhering to RFP requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, technical communication, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional editing and document production experience with proposals or technical documents.
• Excellent command of written English with ability to preserve technical meaning.
• Advanced MS Word proficiency with styles, templates, numbering, and tracked changes.
• Strong Adobe Acrobat Pro and PDF production skills.
• Strong PowerPoint skills including slide masters and formatting.
• Ability to interpret detailed instructions and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Translate RFP instructions into volume-specific templates and production checklists.
• Create and maintain Word templates with styles, layouts, headers/footers, and auto-numbering.
• Assemble, split, and recombine proposal sections across review cycles and maintain styles.
• Coordinate tracked changes, comments, and versions to prevent lost edits.
• Partner with graphics on a standardized visual style and ensure legibility of visuals.
• Create and refine PowerPoint layouts, charts, and diagrams and integrate visuals.
• Use Acrobat Pro to convert, combine, split, and optimize PDFs and verify integrity.
• Perform editorial checks across volumes for terminology, references, and markings.
• Prepare final submission files and inspect exported PDFs for quality and completeness.
• Maintain templates and production checklists and coordinate deadlines with proposal leads.
