Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Senior Risk Control Specialist to own the Property Technical Discipline in Assigned Territory, conducting risk assessments and advising on loss controls while mentoring staff and supporting risk pricing discussions with Underwriting.

With a strong engineering or science background and six-plus years in property risk, you will educate clients, support partners, and drive best practices across the team. Travel expectations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline.
• Six years of risk assessment/consulting experience within the property discipline or fire protection industry.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence with customers 20%–50% of the time, onsite or virtually.
• Conduct risk evaluations of high-complexity Travelers customers, identifying exposures and loss controls.
• Educate customers on risk management and influence adoption of recommendations.
• Mentor Risk Control consultants and less experienced Specialists.
• Attend industry conferences and deliver targeted trainings on discipline topics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
